Travel to Timişoara
By plane: The city is served by Romania's third-largest airport, Traian Vuia International Airport, located 10km away from the city center. It is the hub of the Romania's second-largest airline, Carpatair. There are regular flights from/to numerous major European and domestic destinations, eg Ancona, Athens, Bergamo, Bari, Bologna, Chernivtsi, Chisinau, Düsseldorf, Lviv, Munich, Odessa, Rome, Stuttgart, Torino, Venice, Verona, Vienna Budapest Luton, Madrid etc etc
By train: There are direct trains daily from Budapest (a 5 hours trip), Belgrade (4 hours), Vienna (8 hours) and Munich (15 hours).
By car: Belgrade is 150km away and Budapest is about 320km away by car.
By bus: The bus terminal (Autogara) lies two hundred meters South of the Gara du Nord. There is a daily bus service to Vršac, just over the border with Serbia.
In order to help visitors enjoy their stay in Timisoara, we have available a number of self-catering apartments close to and around the city centre. For a relatively modest fee, you can stay at any of our self-contained and well-furnished apartments from periods ranging from just a day to several weeks - as the fancy catches you.
Our apartments cater for numbers ranging from single visitors up to groups of seven. All you need to do is search for suitable and available properties (see the reservation box on the left), select and book an apartment, and our representative will be waiting for you at the apartment with the keys to the door.
